A gentle giant. This is a Rhinoceros. Seeing a rhino up close reminds you of how ancient these creatures are. A rhino slowly foraging, its thick, folded textured skin resembles plated armour. It is covered in mud, which they use as a natural sunscreen and insect repellent. Rhinos are huge herbivores and many species are sadly threatened by poaching and habitat loss.
