The felucca is a traditional wooden Nile sailing boat used in Egypt and Sudan, usually about 10–12 m long with a tall lateen sail. They rely entirely on the wind and the river's current. Today they’re still used around Aswan and Luxor, offering a slower and more traditional way to cruise the river than large modern cruise ships.
